Mossberg 930 Empty Mossberg 930

I have used pumps all my life, but I finally decided to buy a semi auto 12 gauge. After looking at what was available, I went with a Mossberg. I got the 930WF (Water Fowl) with the camo stock. This shoots the low brass 2 3/4 and the high brass 3 inch shells with ease. I decided not to go with the 935. This is the 3 1/2 inch gun. The 3 inch is getting more popular and the new non toxic loads are much better now, so the patterning out beyond 40 yards is good. The 3 1/2 is declining in sales. Also, most of my life I shot water fowl and upland birds with 2 3/4 high brass with a pump gun. A 3 inch is plenty I would say. If you have a 3 1/2, I'm not dogging it. To each his own.

That's a good one for the money, While I have many pumps myself I really like my Remington 1100 the best, 9 shot as fast as you can go.

Well I really like the 1100, but some of the first run 1100 MAG's had cycling problems between 2 3/4 low brass and high brass 3 inch. If I got an 1100, it would probably be a 2 3/4 gun.

The 11-87 addresses some of the shortcomings of the 1100. I almost bought this in CAMO, but after exhaustive online research and talking to some of my gun buddies, the Mossberg 930 won out.

Nice, I just picked up a Saiga 12. I'll get some pics and start a thread soon!

I'm a big time 100 person. I got a complete set of 1100 skeet, .410- 12g including a 16g. It took me 10 years to build the set.

Well, after waiting three weeks, I finally got my Mossberg 930. I am very happy with it. It should become my favorite in the field. Shoots very smooth and handles well. For $558 shipped, it is a real bargain. Can't wait for Spring Turkey season.
