I've been lax since joining but I'll start throwing some stuff in this section & inviting some friends from the food community to join in too.

to start off, the most important thing,especially w/ wild game is proper field handling,freezing,& cooking technique so we might as well start there.most of you probably already know this but some may not.

for wild game such as deer,fowl,bear,it's recommended that you freeze it @ or below 0 degrees Farenheit for a minimum of 6 months to kill any parasites. pelagic species of fish is a minimum of 1 month.

yep. they have changed the guidlines(for some readon hmm) but 6 months was always the golden rule if you talk to real hunters & old timers.
